Vintage 1920's - 1930's Men's Black Kangaroo Leather Lace Up Cap Toe Ankle Boots Made In The United States.Leather Soles are marked Princeton (It may be the style name of the boots)Rubber Heels are marked "Light Tread' My research tells me that based on the name "Light Tread" they were probably replaced at some point. Light Tread Heels were usually used back then for heel replacements. Marked Men's Size: 10Not sure of the width however, If I had to guess I would say they are a narrow width.Length from heel to toe along the leather soles: 12 5/16"Width across the widest point to the leather soles at the ball" 4 1/8"They boots have cotton lined tongues, cotton canvas linings and part of the insoles are leather. They have riviot eye holes for the laces which prevents the leather from ripping or tearing when pulling on the boot laces.Leather soles are still nice and thick and there is some slight wear on the heels. The leather poritoin of the boots have some random marks, and nicks from age and use. The cap toes are not steel however they are not soft. So, if you push on the cap toe's they will not cave in. They are solid. The boots have been stored for at least 70 years and the leather is still soft and supple. They do come from a non-smoking environment.
